I'm surprised in all honesty.

I dont care about NEX prices or Incarna.
The Newsletter, (Soundwave Section) or rather the direction of EVE. That is my chief complaint. If it is going the way your 'Lead Game Designer' wrote please tell me now and save me the time and money until that is implemented. Disturbing most was "...reward for high level gameplay like taking sovereignty should be just as legitimate a part of the business model as charging players..."
That needs to be addressed before anything.

Any comments on the leaked Hilmar email that they just read live on Eve Radio?

Originally by: Smeedly I can tell you that this is one of the moments where we look at what our players do and less of what they say.
What we are doing is we are canceling our subscriptions.
Read into it a bit more.
What he is saying is essentially this, "People are claiming they will cancel their sub's, but we know they won't actually do it and instead they will just keep playing."
BTW Editor of EN24 is going to be speaking on EVE Radio in a little bit. In case anybody wants to tune in.

The sad part is that I have NEVER had anything happen that would make me consider cancelling my sub's until now. And that's taking into account that I've been playing this game for over 6 years.
I like Incarna, and have been looking forward to it for quite some time. I don't like the method of implementation nor the MT fiasco, but neither of those things would make me want to quit on their own.
And now, the leaked news letter and email have served as a catalyst to completely change my opinion of EVE and even CCP as a whole. I have fairly thick skin, and it might be something I gained during my military service. It takes quite a bit to actually upset me in any way, shape, or form.
Yet, this upsets me....

Originally by: Constantinee I find it hard to believe that CCP has been working towards incarna for over 4 years. Their crown jewel and now they see this more than likely being the straw that broke the camels back....
6 accounts unsubbed as of 30 seconds ago. So long eve.
Well if you look at the earliest Incarna stuff, it is obvious they completely scrapped what they had at one point and started fresh with a new engine.
I've always figured that might explain to time-frame.

Duke Nukem Forever syndrome.
Yeah that is a pretty good thing to compare it to actually.

As a side note, I never thought I would see a thread that would overcome the old ghost training disabled thread in terms of statistics.
Looking at it now, this has gone far beyond it. That thread max'ed out at 6226 replies, which is nearly half of where this thread is at now.

Here's a presentation from the creators of BF:Heroes that explains why Hilmar gives no fcks about the forums.

This is a very interesting presentation. Everyone should... MUST watch it!
This presentation will tell you why EVE Online WILL have a Cash Shop WITH GAME CHANGING ITEMS beyond vanity ones!! It shows that the business model works and why it will work in EVE too.
Ok that was interesting.
